Online SRTE Pilot Project

On October 28, 2004, the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs commissioned a committee to investigate the feasibility of moving the administration of the SRTEs from a paper distribution to an online environment. The task is to develop and implement an online course evaluation tool (online SRTE) via ANGEL to be piloted in the fall 2005 semester in three departments at University Park (Biology, Engineering Science & Mechanics, and the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs) and one university campus (Penn State York). From this pilot study, recommendations will be made for opportunities to enhance the administration of online evaluations, response rates by students, and faculty reaction to online evaluations and online reports.
